Beautiful morning for a run.  Perfect temperature and a very slight rain.  Another easy run while I recover.  Will keep it easy this week then start to ramp the training up again next week.  Legs still feel heavy but there is no real soreness.

What is up next on the racing schedule Andy?? Great job getting out there and working the soreness out. I should of done the same today. Before the rain started up.

You sure you don't want to run UVM???

What do you mean ramp up the training next week. That is NOT the advice you have given me in the past!!!!

From Andy on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:38:01 from 199.190.170.31

I'm volunteering at UVM. I'll be at one of the aid stations. Once I know for sure which one, I will be taking requests for special treats.

I'm thinking of doing the Park City half and will need extra miles afterward if you need company for the last 10k.

The advice I gave you was based on your history. Everybody recovers at different rates.

From Teena Marie on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:40:30 from 174.52.45.85

Are you saying that I am weaksauce???? :) :) :)

(We all know it is true.)

Okay ... before anyone else chimes in ... I am putting my dibs in first!!! YES -- I will ABSOLUTELY need company on the last 10K. Please!!!!

From Teena Marie on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:40:47 from 174.52.45.85

Also -- way cool that you are volunteering at UVM!!! :)

From Andy on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:43:52 from 199.190.170.31

That is absolutely not what I am saying. The only speed you know is full speed which is why you have to be constantly reminded to hold back and let your body recover. You go 100 miles per hour 24 hours a day. I run a little in the morning and sit around for the rest of the day so don't need as much recovery time.

From Teena Marie on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:46:55 from 174.52.45.85

So ... does that mean I have dibs on the 10K at PC?

From Andy on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 15:47:41 from 199.190.170.31

I'm planning on it.

From Teena Marie on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 16:00:05 from 174.52.45.85

Perfect!!! :)

(and, btw, I am taking it VERY easy this week)

:) :) :)

From Rhett on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 16:43:53 from 74.32.222.202

Sounds like a great plan Andy. I better start dreaming up treat requests for UVM... or do you have to be part of the herem for the specieal treatment? :)

From Teena Marie on Tue, May 18, 2010 at 16:47:53 from 174.52.45.85

Rhett -- Just fyi, we are no longer accepting applications for additional haremites. Sorry. We are pretty possessive when it comes to our Andy.

:) :) :)

From Smooth on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 00:39:05 from 174.23.172.155

Andy! I'm SO HAPPY to hear you're recovering well! Am extra extra extra HAPPY you'll be volunteering at UVM and running PCM half!

It does pay to be one of Andy's harem.

So...OK, do I get 2nd dip then since Teena runs 30 min. faster than me? I am certain that you can run her in and still have plenty of time left. I promise you wouldn't have to carry me like Maynard did. I vow never to repeat that ever again! :)

From Derunzo on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 07:52:14 from 65.220.66.195

Love running in those perfect temps! Congrats to your legs for taking a lickin' & keeping on kickin'. By the way, how do you like the Saucony Grid A2's?

From Andy on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 08:22:25 from 198.60.114.178

Derunzo - I have a clunky running style so probably shouldn't run in racing flats at all but I really like them. I can't wear them for anything longer than a 10k, though. I wore them in a 1/2 marathon and had ankle issues for a couple of weeks afterward.

From Derunzo on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 08:53:39 from 64.56.60.130

Thanks for the feedback!

From Huans32 on Wed, May 19, 2010 at 09:32:24 from 138.64.8.52

Well that is cool. Glad to know you will be at UVM. I will have to look for you then.

Been debating about doing Park City. But have Jordanelle Tri that day too. That is what is making the slam tough for me to do.
