So what is it about mp training runs that always makes them so tough? When I'm racing a marathon it always feels so easy at least through the first half, but when I try and do that pace for less then 13 miles during training, it quite often feels so hard.

It's the adrenaline. The 1 mile I ran on Saturday with the guy running 6:45 on my heels felt like 8:00 pace. Every other mile felt like LT effort.
