I could tell it was going to be a lazy day so I ran up to Mueller Park canyon to force myself to work a little.  Even if you run slow going uphill it is still a good workout.  Felt like it was a good effort going up but I had a hard time coming down.  I couldn't get into a groove and I started getting a nasty side stitch.  I seem to get these a lot when I run downhill.  It must be from my insides bouncing around so much.  I'm heading to the U game tonight and expect to freeze.  I don't have a good feeling about the game.

Don't say that about the Utes, you better knock on wood. I am not a Ute fan or a BYU fan, I am a poor USU fan but I so want to see Utah win out the season to wreak havoc on the BCS...again. Go Utes!! Go Broncos!! Down with the BCS!!

Andy...Mueller Park Canyon, is that up near the big "V" on the mountain? I think my family and I used to go up there when I was a kid. That name sounds so familiar. I seem to get the side stitches going uphill. Have fun at the game.

From Andy on Thu, Nov 06, 2008 at 13:16:51

Mueller Park Canyon is a few months south of the "V" and about 1 mile south of the "B".

Duh. I obviously meant a few miles.

Andy have fun at the game tonight! I will be cheering for the Utes for the first time ever (not really I always cheer for them if they are not playing BYU) When BYU lost to TCU my daughter had not painted her face for the first time and now she is sure that if she forgets to paint her face we will lose! I will try to talk her into painting her face for the Utes tonight!

Andy...Freudian slip.

Oh yeah, I remember riding in my dad's truck on those dirt roads up there. In fact, it's the same truck I'm driving now.

Andy.....Kathie took me on that run up to Mueller park. I will agree, that is a great workout (and we didn't start at the bottom like you do).

I don't have fond memories of running in Bountiful. It is the only place that doesn't follow the law of gravity. Because what goes up....doesn't always come down. I know I ran more uphill than I ran down.

Andy,

You probably aren't home from the game yet ... but, holy smoke, so jealous that you were there!! I'm in SG and our timeshare's cable didn't show the game so I had to listen to it instead. WOW!! Good Stuff!! Totally worth any cold you endured. (Hope you didn't leave a couple minutes early to beat the traffic.)

Btw, nice run. I definitely need to hit some hills.

My seats are in the bleachers in the south end zone so my butt was wet and frozen but it was well worth it. You just had a feeling that it was meant to be after their kicker missed the 2 field goals. It's about time we get some of that divine intervention that that other team has been getting.

From Teena on Fri, Nov 07, 2008 at 01:08:08

I was actually hoping that one of the Ute players would have mentioned something like that on camera. That would have been AWESOME!!

So jealous that you were there.
