After a 1 mile warm up I started to bump up the pace to see how my leg responds and to test my fitness. Ran 1 mile at MP then 4 miles at tempo pace. Finished with an easy mile to cooldown. I could definitely feel my reduced training. My breathing was much more labored than it should have been. It felt good to get in some quality miles. My calf actually hurt less to run at the faster pace. |
