Started the morning with a 2.5 mile warm up to the LPT to meet Shantell, Tara and Kam for a tempo run.  We decided to started at a more comfortable pace and make it a progression run.  First 2 miles were into the wind and were 7:09 and 7:00.  Took more effort than it should have.  I could especially feel it towards the end of the second mile when the wind picked up.  With the wind at our backs, we picked the pace up a bit.  Ran mile 3 in 6:39 and Shantell and Tara started to pull away.  Sped up a bit to catch up and finished the 4th mile in 6:30.  Tara was showing off and finished 10 seconds ahead.  Good, solid effort.  It definitely helps to have company on these runs.  Finished with a comfortable 2.5 mile run home.

I made a comment on this post under Tuesday, but you must have just deleted it. I will say it again... You are such a strong runner!! I didn't hear anyone even breathing as I was panting that last mile. Whew! Thanks for letting me run with you guys!

I can't keep track of what day it is so I moved the entry to the correct day after Teena pointed out my mistake. You looked very comfortable running. You have a very natural stride. I was definitely the most fatigued from the group.

Andy- I was totally showing off! Are you impressed? I hope so:)

Thanks for helping me fight off the wind and bugs. I agree, the second mile towards the end was where I started to think about digging deep for the next mile, but as soon as we turned, that 3rd mile was (for me) the easiest. Thanks for showing up. I'm very excited to have Tempo Tuesdays on the calendar with a group!

Hi Shantell:)

Nice tempo Andy. You guys got a great group going on. Any plans for a fall marathon?
