I'm replacing one of the medium long runs each week with a hilly run.  Ran up to the mouth of Mueller park canyon and back.  I didn't really push myself really hard but it was a good run.  Got back to find that my car is broken down.

Sorry about your car, hopefully it is an easy fix.

We will be in your neighborhood (or close) this weekend to take our kids to Lagoon on Saturday. Would you be up for an early morning run on Saturday? Let me know and we can try to coordinate time and place.

That bites about the car.

Jeff - I will probably be going very early. My girls have a softball tournament an hour away and I will not know what time their first game on Saturday is until they play their games on Friday. Let me know what you had in mind (place and time) and I will see what works.

Sorry about the car! It is in the air -- seriously!!! It's raining over here. Yesterday (same day as your car) our HVAC broke (replacement is going to be over 10K), icemaker broke (just bought a bag of ice from the store and will deal with it later), my new phone got soaked at the pool and on our way to Costco to replace it we ran over so huge nail and the tire blew. As Ry was putting on the spare the jack broke and almost ran him over before rolling about 10 feet before hitting the curb. DANG!!!!

Hey ... I am so so so confused as to what I should be running. Seriously, I need your help. Pretty please.

Teena - I am not ignoring you. I have been a way from my computer for a couple of days. You know better than anybody what you need to do. You have to believe in the knowledge that you have of your body and what works and what doesn't. There is nothing that I could tell you that you don't already know. The only thing I would say is to not over do it. Stay away from long runs at MP. While these are good to do every once in awhile, I think they tend to cause you problems. Hopefully you now believe Smooth and me when we told you the speed would still be there for the marathon. I really think what you were doing before Boston was perfect for you. You just got a little carried away towards the end.

Thanks Andy!

I think you are right ... I was definitely pushing it too hard on some of my long runs. Dang! I just get so nervous that if I don't do it during a long run that I will never be able to pull it off in a race. I am still learning!

How are you doing?

Things still going ** well **? :) :) :)
