Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - I convinced all my colleagues to go running with me this morning - it's amazing what a little peer pressure will do! They are all on a corporate team to run Ragnar but have not started training. That is, until this week with me :o) One of the guys ran 5 miles with me at 8 min pace, and he was stoked to run that pace. It made me happy! We have a really long day of work today (until 9:30pm) so it was good for all of us to get the day started off well. This morning was an easy recovery day for me. Tempo run tomorrow!

I hope you didn't tell the 5 mile guy that was an easy recovery pace for you :)

Haha he thought I ran 6 min miles for every run before I explained the concept of easy days. Then I continued to talk non-stop about the meaning of tempo runs, speed workouts, training philosophy, shoes, etc. because he was breathing too hard to talk and wanted me to distract him!

That is awesome! I love running with new runners. And for the record that is totally how I feel when I run with you and allie. :) Just talk....I will listen....but I may not be able to respond. ha!

One day when I'm not pregnant, seems like it will be forever, I'd love to do a run like this with you where you can explain your training philosophy to me :)
