Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

Well you are right, I definitely can't be your cross training coach. What is level 14?!?

From ACorn on Mon, Nov 28, 2011 at 15:09:57 from 68.66.168.22

If it is the same type of exercise bike I use, then level 14 is fairly difficult. Is it a 1-20 scale?

for me, anything above a "2" is difficult. nice job.

I had a lot of residual marathon fatigue as well, so much I decided to shut it down and recharge the batteries this past month. I hope it pays off for Boston. Hard to believe that Boston is only 19 weeks away!

Let's just go with ACorn's view that it was hard so I feel better about not running. It is 1-20 so at least I'm at 70%!

Hamdog - I think it will pay off for you. You'll start at a higher level, but also feel more refreshed from the break. I'm going with the "see how I feel" for the next 3 weeks or so. Hopefully I'll be feeling mentally and physically sharp again by that point!

From Rob Murphy on Mon, Nov 28, 2011 at 22:48:48 from 76.27.122.13

It's a little harder than 13 but not quite as hard as 15.

From Kelli on Mon, Nov 28, 2011 at 23:21:42 from 71.219.83.156

CRUD, I am thinking a level 14 would make me fall off as the wheels would not even be spinning. NICE!

7 minutes of strength training, huh. I guess you can do a lot in 7 minutes unless you are like those meathead guys that take 5 minute breaks between each set. ;o)

Hope the rest serves you well.

I tried cross training for a few days got really bored as well. Nothing substitutes for running.
