AM - 5 miles easy 9:15 pace. I'm running at a pace that keeps my heart rate low and isn't stressing my body at all. It seems to be helping the recovery process because I'm recovering much faster than I thought I would. Although I am still fatigued, nothing in particular hurts and I have no more soreness. It makes me feel like I should've run faster - ahhh! I've been analyzing the race a million times in my head, and I think it really came down to not enough time and experience under my belt. I've only been seriously running for a year. I have no doubt that my training has been great, but I needed a little more time to race the marathon at such a high level. My half marathon times indicate a much faster marathon, so I think another year or two of keeping the mileage up and doing more long runs will get me where I want to be. I probably won't run a marathon next year - can't say I love the distance like I do the half marathon - but maybe in a couple years after I forget this one :)
