Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Workout. 8 miles total. 2 mile warmup then straight into 3 x mile at marathon pace with a full mile recovery in between, followed by 1 mile cooldown. Hit the miles at 6:19, 6:15, 6:14. It was tough to get moving this morning, probably b/c it was cold and early.

Jake and I are speaking at the LDR Circuit Banquet tonight. Hopefully we don't bore everyone!

Weighed in today for our Project "0" Program at work. The goal is to not gain any weight through New Years, and you get $25 if you can do it. Good thing I drank a ton before because it's going to be hard to stay at my marathon weight.

Project 0 sounds awesome. Wear ankle weights.. You are looking primed for the race.. Good Luck!

Cool, I hope HCI does a weight-maintenance challenge program this winter and not another biggest loser competition, because that's the only way I'll be competitive!

Of course if you run fast enough this weekend... it will be easy to stay @ marathon weight, because you'll have another marathon in January! :-)

they are having a "transformers" themed competition at my work. i'm going for the win with the allie --> chrissie wellington transformation.

Allie - we did our workout at Liberty Park this morning and I kept looking for your bikini self cheering us on outside on your deck, but it must've been too dark.

Good luck with your race this weekend!

Allie - which transformers movie was Chrissie Wellington in? Revenge of the Fallen? If you really want to win, go w/ Optimus Prime... I went that route a few years ago...

i was out there but it was definitely too dark. i'll get a big lamp for future workouts. and now that jake knows what kumquats are, i will have a stash ready to throw (toss) at you.

jake - that looks like the perfect thing to wear this sunday.

You're pullin' the ol' Biggest Loser stunt, are ya? LOL.

Nice run and good luck on the challenge.

Allie, go get a hunting spotlight, then you could watch them all the way around the park AND keep them safe.
