Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Easy horsepark loop. Today begins the obsessive checking of the weather for Philadelphia on Sunday 11/20. No need to freak out right now, but I really hope that rain forecast goes away!

Reminder - the Turkey Trot Tune-Up Race is tomorrow at 9am at Highland High Track. The weather might be rainy/snowy, but that is not a good excuse to not come out and run!

you are still far enough out that the weather forecast can change -- the rain isn't ideal but it looks like great temps!

as for tomorrow -- i may or may not be racing anymore. i am sick. (yay!) since we will be running circles on the track, the probability of me "phlegmming" someone increases significantly. i would also hate to spread any infectious air to you or jake a week out from your big race. i'll see how i feel throughout today and tomorrow morning. either way i will still be there since james is running, but i will keep my distance.

Great now we all have to wear Galen Rupp masks!

allie, I will just force you to stay 5 yards in front of me as I push you to a sub 18min 5k. I think my cold is more or less (kinda) done.

Have a great tune-up race tomorrow Andrea!

Andrea, GREAT things can happen in the rain, ie--ALLIE in at least 7 miles of a downpour (unless Allie you were always IN FRONT of the storm : D) at TOU mixed with HAIL!! Don't even think too long about it. AT LEAST YOU know for sure it won't be 95 degrees at the finish line (and the warmest start on record...SGM). ; D Wish I could be there today but I have things with my kids at that time of day. Getting out early here soon. Good LUCK!!
