Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - JAJA run! Nice route through some of the ritzy neighborhoods in Sugarhouse. My posterior tibial tendon did not feel good this morning. Workout yesterday irritated it. This issue better go away in the next ten days!!

i'm sure it will clear up as you continue to reduce the mileage over the next week. ice, massage, heel/toe walking!

Great workout yesterday, we did run similar paces and distance. I opted to listen to some electronic music instead of Garth.

You seem ready to roll, I hope your tendon clears up, I'll keep my fingers crossed.

Have you tried some accupuncture for that tibial tendon? At first I read "tribal tendon" and I was wondering..

I was going to say "I am sure you are icing it" then saw Allie's post. RIVERS are the best for total body FREEZE-- okay just the calf, ankle and foot.

heel-toe-heel-toe ... plus, write the alphabet (capital letters are easiest) with your feet when ever you can. This is just a "stress pain" Andrea ... you are going to rock!

I wish the marathon would be on tv. It would be fun to watch you and Jake.
