Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

So the big question is...do I wear my bright pink Saucony uniform tomorrow and risk embarrassing the Hurricane team by running a 25+ minute 5k or wear normal Saucony clothes so I'm not as noticeable? :)

My goodness you've gained a lot of weight ;P

From Andrea on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 09:44:18 from 72.37.171.52

Haha! I must've had my 40lb weight vest on this morning accidently when I was weighing myself! Changed it...

What's really surprising to me is that I haven't gained weight during this injury fiasco..if anything, I've lost weight. But it's kind of sad too because that means my muscle mass is decreasing significantly now :(

Ugh, I know how that goes! It's kind of weird huh?

better than losing muscle definition AND gaining 20 lbs!

From Lily on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 09:49:48 from 67.199.178.95

Ooooooo I've seen that happen to people. Makes me feel bad for them.

I absolsutely think you should wear nothing but socks! :):) Gotta go with the theme of the "crazy legs 5k".

From Lily on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 09:52:02 from 67.199.178.95

Btw -be noticed!

From Andrea on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 09:53:30 from 72.37.171.52

Definitely weird. Even with weight training a few days a week, I don't think it can make up for the 70 mile weeks of running.

And hopefully I will never gain 20 lbs - that's a 6% increase!

From Redd on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 10:15:12 from 67.182.221.190

30 pounds+ or why bother trying?

From allie on Fri, Oct 12, 2012 at 15:27:42 from 97.117.85.43

i have a monkey suit if you want to borrow it. the eye holes are pretty small, but you could probably hire kevin or james to be your guide.

also, if you want to know what someone looks like when they lose muscle definition and gain 20 pounds, look no further than me.
