Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Jogged around the block again. After the run yesterday, I felt better than I have in two weeks so I tried to replicate that this morning. Unfortunately that was just a fluke because I'm back to bad today. Yoga for 30 minutes.

PM - 7 mile cruise on the bike while Jake ran. Thankfully he was only running 8 min pace so I could keep up!

That's a bummer. Hope this setback is only temporary. Truth be told, after my run this morning I am back to really bad too. :( I guess I will go ahead and get the bike tuned up.

Sorry Andrea. I hope you feel better soon and find long term answers.

I am so sorry Andrea. Have you made any decisions about the MRI?

From Lulu Walls on Tue, Aug 21, 2012 at 17:26:55 from 65.127.208.182

Oh sorry Andrea :( An MRI isn't the worst idea in the world.

poo. I mean really?!? what is it with injuries? Can't our bodies love us as much as we love them? :(

I certainly hope you're able to figure it all out, one way or another...and soon!

This reminds me of my 2009. Took three MRIs, a lot of tears, and almost half a year off. But I came back in 2010 roaring. Go get your MRI. Gotta find out whats wrong, eh?

From Clay on Wed, Aug 22, 2012 at 12:14:22 from 66.182.65.162

I agree with Michelle, time to take charge of this darn thing and get some answers, as hard as that may be!:) Injuries suck for sure your, but your way to talented to not try and figure this thing out. Good luck.

From Andrea on Wed, Aug 22, 2012 at 15:13:17 from 72.37.171.52

I've been debating the MRI for the past couple weeks now...I'm apprehensive about it for two reasons 1) I have a very high deductible so it will cost a lot of money and 2) I'm afraid that there won't be anything wrong. Both bad reasons for how I am feeling right now, but I just keep hoping that I wake up one day and the hip pain is gone. I'll probably give it until the end of the week then bite the bullet and schedule an MRI.
