Run consistently as I get back to 100% health. Stay patient!
Long-Term Running Goals:
Have fun training and racing.
Sub-17 5K
Sub-1:17 Half Marathon
Quality for the Olympic Trials in the marathon
Personal:
I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.
I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)
I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.
AM - 10 miles up in the Millcreek area. I was just trying to go a comfortable pace, which turned out to be ~7:05 pace. Hopefully that means I'm getting in better shape!
PM - 20 min on the exercise bike while reading Runner's World.

Very nice! You must be in fabulous shape because 7:00 AP feels like death to me. :)

Comfortable pace? That's an all out 5k for me! LOL!

Maybe it was because I was listening to music today!

nice run! the fact that 7:05 feels comfortable is an excellent sign. millcreek is one of my favorite areas for running -- sorry i couldn't join you today, although i think it was for the best seeing as i was about 2:00/mile slower on my run :/
any chance you are planning on running the charitable trust 5k on saturday?

I've been back and forth on whether I want to run that or the Rotary 5K in Midvale (faster course vs. more competition). I haven't officially signed up yet, but I'm 80% sure I going with the Charitable Trust 5K. There is Chick-fil-a breakfast, after all!

oh yes, the chick-fil-a breakfast is the main draw for me!
