Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Slightly extended horsepark loop. Ran 5 minutes at 6:19 pace (0.83 miles) just to see if I remembered how to move a little faster. It was actually pretty cool that my legs still know exactly what marathon pace is without looking at a watch.

PM - Strength training 30 minutes.

I know, shocker! It felt really fast compared to my 8-9 min pace I've been enjoying for the past 4 weeks.

Awesome! One thing I really admire about both you is your ability to just dial into those paces without much thought or garmin stalking. I am getting better about that but it is something that takes a lot of practice.

Nicely done!!! I took my 4 kids to get slurpees for breakfast. They thought I was awesome today!

Okay, I caught up on your blog over the past two weeks...your hamstring is naughty. I replied about my trainer on my blog. Let me know if you want her info, I'm sure there are a lot of good ones in SLC near you too.

BTW your jumps in all your pics would pretty much qualify you for the Harlem Globetrotters. That is a skill!

How can 7-11 give away free slurpees? That's like Wasatch running company giving away free shoes!!
