Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Recumbent bike for 30 minutes, then hamstring exercises.

PM - Ran with Devra in the Dimple Dell gully...she's been out with achilles problems, so I'm glad she's better and I have my running buddy again! It was SO HOT, we stopped for water several times. Those trails are not easy! My hamstring tendon hurt after 5 miles.

I'm so excited for the weekend - lots of fun stuff going on. Watching the Olympic Trials, Wedding Bells 5K, hanging out at the pool, Allie's wedding, rollerblading the JRP, Pfeifferhorn hike?, etc. I have been traveling on the weekends for the last 5 weeks so it's a relief to get a weekend at home.

Do the Pfeifferhorn! It is one of the best in the Wasatch. The hike up to the ridge is easy and then just some mild 3rd class scrambling across the ridge. Some of the best views in the Wasatch up there. I need to hit it soon. Have fun!

Rollerblading for sure!

Rollerblading sounds so fun! :) Make sure to wear sunscreen for all of your adventures this weekend, it's going to be a hot one.

I love those trails - my inlaws house is just down the street, so I always hit them when I am up. My favorites are down in the bottom by the stream.

We ran down by the stream but unfortunately the stream is already dried out this year! I liked the trails a lot though.

The aroma from the fire down in Utah county made the run even better I bet?

I was at Abby's swim meet in Cottonwood Heights this morning and ash was falling in the pool.
