Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Recumbent bike easy for 30 minutes, then 15 minutes of strengthening/weights. Hamstring still achy.

PM - 15 miles cycling with Amiee and Jake up to Little Mountain from the zoo and back. I was pleasantly surprised to realize the gradient wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. I am a total wuss when it comes to downhill though...Amiee put about half a mile on me within 5 minutes :)

Has the route been decided yet? We aren't required to take EPO before road cycling, right?

Awes yeah busting out the road bike! EPO 4 o'clock!

Jake, do you have a bike or are you racing us on foot?

Oh I have a bike - it hasn't seen any serious action in about 3 years (Vail Pass, Colorado)... so hopefully the brakes still work

Meet at the zoo at 5:15?

From Jake K on Thu, Jun 21, 2012 at 09:45:04 from 155.100.226.54

that should work for me!

Be careful with the EPO - micro doses. You'll have one of those passport things soon and you don't want something silly like EPO spoiling your 2016 Olympic marathon bid:)

We shouldn't even joke about it... we'll have a USADA tester knocking on the door at 5am tomorrow. I would take that as a compliment though. And all they would find is a bunch of empty ice cream cartons and wonder how the heck we even run so fast :-)
