Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 3 miles around the block with Jake. Today is my designated cross training day with minimal running! :) I'm trying to do this at least once every two weeks to give the legs and back a break from the pounding of running.

PM - Headed up to Alta for some ski fun. Skinned to the top of Wildcat chairlift then bootpacked up one of the east chutes of Mt. Baldy. Skied a really fun run - perfect spring conditions!

Happy Mother's Day!!

Nice! I love those spring skiing pics. I'll be up at Snowbird next weekend after Ogden, so if you head on up there let me know and we'll let you come hang out at the hot tub afterward :)

YES YES YES! What days will you be up there? Sat and Sun?

yeah, my daughter has a piano recital at 6PM, so we will be up later on Saturday then stay until 7 or 8PM on Sunday. My parents have a timeshare up there - a double room, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen, 5 beds...GREAT vacation. I wish I could afford to have my own up there in July when I could spend all day hiking, running, biking then the evenings swimming and sleeping!

How fun. I like your cross train idea. Always good to give your legs a break :)

That last pic is sooooo cool! I'm jealous.
