Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 17 miles out at Jeremy Ranch Road with Redd, Fiddy, JakeK, Chad Robinson, and MarkP. Fun goofy crew, although I would like to see another girl or two thrown in there! We kept the run at a decent pace, average 7:24 pace. It's a tough, strength-building run with the altitude, so many hills, and the uphill coming back.

Afterwards, we met up with Rob Murphy and kids, Tina and Nate, and LuluWalls at Ruth's Diner. My first time there and it was awesome! Especially the monstrous biscuits :) Crazy how I am already hungry again - this is why I love long runs.

And yes, all those spikes are actually hills, not just the Garmin!!

Wow, that's crazy uphill back. I had no idea it was that much.

Yeah its seriously deceptive. The first time we did this run last summer it was a shock haha. Now we know what we are getting ourselves into :-)

Gotta love that uphill finish. And by love, I mean hate. Nice run!

I have only done that run from the east canyon side which means you finish with a downhill. Sometime we should try that and then swim in east canyon.

Wow this run seems pretty tough but I'm sure it is AWESOME training. You guys hit my exact goal MP today. I should have come up and run with you. Although I'm not sure I could have kept up.

From Chad Robinson on Sat, May 12, 2012 at 18:59:14 from 65.130.117.26

I agree with Fritz. You really don't notice how much downhill there is until you head back.

That route looks like a killer. Nice workout!

7:24 on that course? holy flying banana monkeys!!! yeah...I'd have gotten lost and eaten by a bear as I tried to keep up! Still have yet to eat at Ruths. Maybe next time I'll bring a slow crew and be the sag wagon. We might finish running before you finish eating :)

From Lulu Walls on Sun, May 13, 2012 at 12:09:12 from 64.134.232.14

Ruth's was super fun - I am totally down with next weekend! I plan on being able to keep up with y'all someday so you're not the only gal. It just might be a while :)
