Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Ran partway up to Jake's work and back home. Fritz sighting at mile 4. Planning to do a short track workout this afternoon.

PM - 2 mile warm-up then 10 x 400m with 200m recovery (avg 82.5s) and 2 x 200m with 200m recovery (avg 42s). Mile cooldown. I feel good about this workout!

Jake and I decided to bail on the Striders Half this weekend. It's supposed to be really cold in the morning (20 degrees) and the cold temperatures have a really bad effect on my feet. I'm making such good progress that it's not worth the risk to regress. For Jake, a 13 mile tempo is a little too long with only 8 days out from Boston. It's the smart decision.

I would not mind running on the beach in Brazil after looking at your pictures! HOW BEAUTIFUL!

I have not had time to check out many blogs lately (when your kids start to complain that you are on the computer too much, you listen). However, nice to see your miles UP and not see any complaints about too much pain! I hope that means things are going much better.

Now to go look for your mile repeats workout from last week....

'Fritz sighting' made me laugh for some reason. Nice job! Burn the track up!

Great workout tonight Andrea. And I agree that it sounds like you guys are doing what is best for both of you. Good call.

Oh geez, we just decided to do Striders. Comedy of errors.

Probably smart with the recent comback. Now I may have a chance with you and Allie out of the way:) I actually was hoping for some pacers to see how long I could hold on. Now it's me and the monkeys....

Are you still running in Boston....a half or 5k or something of the sorts? Oh, I see BAA 5k on your list of races. That will be a fun trip for you two!
