Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Rode for 1:23 while Jake was running. Roller coaster hills throughout the run...reminded me of TN except much more beautiful! My feet went numb at 45 minutes and felt like they do when I'm running....maybe it all has to do with my back and nerves. Maybe the Sedona vortex we are heading to today + Dr. Ball tomorrow will do me wonders.

PM - In Phoenix now. The weather is absolutely perfect. I went out for a run, not expecting much (in terms of distance and feeling good). Although I only managed 8:35 min miles at sea level, my feet felt surprisingly good. I think the warmer temperatures and slower pace helped a ton.

The difference between my vacation and Jake's vacation :o)

Either you are on different vacations or your hammock is hanging in the largest sage brush in the world.

Oh geez you really need to get that foot thing figured out. Hopefully you will get fixed up tomorrow!

Either looks appealing, although I'm sure you would have preferred both...

Andrea-- I noticed I felt a heck of a lot better at sea level-- joints and pace felt easier. Must be our anemia problems ?? Jealous!! Warm weather also helps!!

Your vacation looks a lot more relaxing.
