Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - JAJA Run, we tried to stay close to the cars since the gimps (James and I) wanted to be cautious. My feet started hurting a little around 7 miles so I called it for the day. Glad to get in a solid run this morning! And hopefully I convinced Jake to stay home and get over the upper respiratory infection that I gave him....

I'm also sick. Good call making him stay home.

What are you doing for you feet? I use a thing called the happy massager and use it like a tennis ball to rub out your feet 2-3x a day I also use gua sha. if you need any help I am always willing you just have to drive to Orem. I am a lmt and would be willing to show you and Jake some thing you could help work on each other to stay healthy.

I stayed home! And ran less than 20 miles. Easy day!

Josse - that sounds like an interesting offer, we might have to take you up on that. I think that might be the technique that James was telling me about this morning.

From Andrea on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 11:23:38 from 72.37.244.100

Craig - I hope you are staying home too!

Josse - Thanks for the offer. I'll think about a time that would work that I could come down to Orem because I think something like that definitely has potential.

So glad to hear you felt okay Andrea!!

You shared your virus! :) 7 miles is good. Take care of those feet.

From Andrea on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 11:30:05 from 72.37.171.52

Lily - It's really Jake's fault for getting in my way when I needed to sneeze!

From Lily on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 11:32:34 from 67.199.178.210

right....no kissing involved I am sure. hehe

Actually, surfaces...surface touching. eeek. I'm such a germaphobe

From DaleG on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 11:54:40 from 71.199.57.238

Nice run, Andrea.

Lily, I'm a major germaphobe, too. Sometimes I feel badly when my kids are talking to me and I cover my face with my shirt.

From allie on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 12:55:05 from 97.126.211.101

so glad you got a good 7 in, and good call on not trying to push it. as james said -- that's 7 miles of cross training you don't have to worry about. :)

dale - ha! that cracks me up.

From RAD on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 13:27:31 from 98.202.23.178

Y'all just need to have a few more kids, then you won't worry about it so much :)

I'm glad you got through 7 miles and that when you felt the pain you were smart enough to stop. It is SO hard to listen to your body sometimes.

From runningafterbabies on Wed, Feb 08, 2012 at 15:30:40 from 71.195.219.247

I'm glad you were able to get a few in "pain free." Josse is amazing. That scraping tool she uses is pure torture. It hurts so good!
