Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - 30 minutes on the recumbent bike followed by some weights. Finally upgraded from the 15lbers to the 20lbers, although my arms still look just as scrawny as ever.

PM - Decided to try running at the Olympus track on the turf. As soon as I started, both my feet felt terrible. An extremely sore, painful feeling with every step. I don't understand...can two weeks off then two days of running really make my feet this sore, or is it something else too? Went home and ate a bunch of chocolate and ice cream in depression mode - I gotta stop doing that! Finally got myself motivated enough to ice my feet then do 30 minutes of strenghtening exercises.

Today is National Frozen Yogurt Day!!! You can get free yogurt at Yogurtland from 4-7pm tonight :o)

Julie - there is a YL in Orem right across from the University mall. It is on the corner of Sunflower Market and right next to Panda Express.

These past few months I have graduated from the 20lb to 10 lb.- not to mention a little muscle atrophy and extra padding. Look out world.

OH, good thing I did not read that earlier! I would have gone and gotten some! I have been wallowing an way too much chocolate and ice cream, today I began a "diet" (which means I only eat half of what I want!)

I am sorry to hear that things are still not back to normal. What the heck? You have been to a podiatrist, right? Or a sports doctor?

From Clay on Mon, Feb 06, 2012 at 22:53:07 from 71.195.211.7

Time to get to a sports doc for sure! Hang in there!

are you sure your hormones aren't out of whack??? feet pain??? sounds like a reflexology grid would do you good. I am not just talking about estrogen/progestorone but adrenal hormones and thyroid. Or is your ANEMIA back? I assume you checked your ferritin level? I notice my feet hurt a lot but I am over 40. My hormones have plummeted to almost zero, seriously. I try to eat only healthy foods that naturally help my levels. Have you tried Nutrition Healing (a book of what to eat for certain ailments, you can get it at the library, or sit in Good Earth at their library section and read through it a bit). Or are your feet hurting because of your bad back???? disc and nerve problems show up in your feet.
