Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Alter-G Treadmill for 30 minutes at 80% bodyweight. Felt awkward running today...I still have some soreness and I just couldn't get into a rhythm. I used a frozen Diet Mtn Dew that was left in the car as my ice roller afterwards.

You're going to feel amazing after ice rolling w/ the nectar of the gods. Great idea!! Possibly your best PT method yet. Whenever I feel anything bad coming on, 12 oz of that life giving liquid can cure anything from the inside-out. I can't even imagine how effective it is when applied directly to the skin.

You are ridiculous.

I will accept that as a compliment!

Ha Ha, I don't know why I haven't thought of rolling on frozen Mtn. Dew!! Great idea Andrea!!!

Those diet dews can come in handy sometimes. :)

I remembered another groin/pelvic/low back exercise a sports PT showed me. I'll try to find a YouTube vid of it if you want to try it out.

Jake wins funniest comment of the day award. I can see him holding a Diet Mtn. Dew after winning a marathon and launching directly into..."Whenever I feel..." That could be a commercial.

Way to tough it out today!

Great idea with the dew as an ice roller. I bet we will see one of those productionized soon. I have to admit that I tried this new roller at REI on the weekend and I might have to get one. The huge grooves just work a lot better than the trigger point which I already have.
