Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - Hit snooze on my alarm this morning and then proceeded to sleep until 7:30! That's 10.5 hours of sleep...getting back into shape must be totally wiping me out! Anyways, I quickly got ready and went out for a 2.6 mile jog before rushing into work. I was a little late but that's okay - it's Monday. Planning another short run this afternoon.

PM - 2 miles with Jake.

You're making great progress. Very nice. Allison starts jogging again this weekend so I'm pretty happy about that.

Derek - Has she finally conquered the dreadful PF?

It feels great to run! I still feel injury annoyances probably 75% of the time but that's a lot better than 100% of the time. The running is helping :)

Countdown to the NEW you - 9 DAYS!

NEW me, ha!

No post from you today yet. Hope that means you slept in again rather than bad news on the injury front.

She was awake when I got back from my workout at 7am. I was worried that I was going to wake her up from her beauty sleep! :-)
