Personal:

I am originally from Knoxville, TN and moved to SLC with Jake in 2010. I started racing in 2011 and had some great success before a major injury hit me in July 2012. I had athletic pubalgia surgery in May 2013...then again in Sept 2014 and am still trying to get back to my old self. Although running is my true passion, I love doing pretty much anything active outdoors - backcountry skiing, backpacking, biking, etc.

I've been running for the Saucony Team since 2011. I enjoy representing the brand and really do believe they make the best shoes :)

I work as a Quality Engineer for BD Medical in Sandy.

AM - WINDY!! I'm writing in Italic because that's how the JAJAs looked running this morning! 8.3 miles. James was the tailwind expert, Allie lost two hats, Jake tackled Sunnyside and lost to the sand and dirt, and I got leaf scratches on my face. Quite the fiasco/entertainment.

Jake casually informed me that if I average 8.5 miles for December then I will hit 3000 for the year...it would really be a shame to be so close to 3000 and miss it by a few miles...ughhh why did he have to tell me that?! I wouldn't even have known/cared otherwise! :)

So tentative plan for Saturday - meet at Jordan River Parkway at 3300S. Place is flexible if another location is more convenient. Just let me know. 8am, 10-12 miles ~8 min pace.

Listen to your body not the mileage board!

i think you should go to 2999.9 and then stop. save the .1 for 2012.

my ears are still ringing from the evil wind. so hilarious and miserable at the same time. see you saturday.

wish i could join you all since you are really toning it down : D. now i have to go and see how many miles i need to run per day (6 day week) to get to 3000 (I am two names below you Andrea). THAT WIND WAS PUTTING A DAMPER ON MY MOOD during my run.

From JulieC on Thu, Dec 01, 2011 at 16:28:49 from 70.56.109.75

dang i don't foresee it happening since i would need to run 305 miles in 26 running days!!! That 11.73 miles a day. or put another way 70.38 miles a week. EEEEKKS. my former pre bonk self would be all over this. i am not in remission yet so not even going to take on the challenge. Good Luck Andrea! ;D.

Jake - you are one to talk about the mileage! Mister had to calculate the number of push-ups last night to make sure you beat June!

Allie - If I used your system of tracking miles, I'd probably be at 2000 still! :)

JulieC - HAHAHA! You should probably try to stay away from remission, at least until you get all healed up!

I'm impressed that you guys tackled that wind! I wimped out and went to the TM. No fun windy adventures for me :) Wish I could join y'all this Saturday - especially since I might actually be able to keep up! But, 5 gazillion family things are stopping me. Darn that family first.

Sounds like fun, I'm planning on it. Thanks!

Gosh, that's a lot of miles. I won't even get to 2000 :(
