Personal:

My mom ran with me when she was pregnant with me and so I must've caught the bug! I've been running with Racecats for a couple years now and I really like it. I'm getting pretty fast too. I need to work on consistent running, because I have big dreams, but kind of want to get there without working for it! (my mom might be typing this for me...and if I discovered she told everyone my name was Fartlek I might dis-own her!)

I'm in 3rd grade this year and training with Racecats Elite program. If you are in elementary or middle school, you should join us!

Warm-up laps and then fun games with Summit Academy's XC team that mom coaches. I displayed really awesome sportsmanship! We were running 2 laps (1/2 mile) and I started pushing to catch the kid in front. I passed him and then he sped up. The last tenth of a mile we were neck and neck and I pushed to finish about a half stride ahead of him. Mom was impressed with our competitveness and she turned around to congratulate us and saw I went over to the kid and shook his hand and told him "Good job! Thanks for pushing the pace." It made my mom proud! :) (maybe she is writing this entry without my help...)

At race cats Elite we worked on intervals and I ran one less than everyone because my hamstring was kind of bothering me. I told mom that it feels like a ball popped out in my muscle. Taking it easy and stretching and having mom massage it.
