Running Accomplishments:

2nd Year of XC (Senior Year). My best races thus far have come from Nike Regionals down in Pheonix (5K), the Dixie Invitational (800), and the Davis Invitational (1600). I took 8th place in the 1600 and 11th in the 800 at 3A State. Also at state we were in the slower heat of the Sprint Medley and ended up taking 3rd overall, that was pretty legit.

Junior Year:

Best 2.9: 16:36

Best 3 miler: 17:06

Best 5K: 16:28

Best 800: 1:59

Best 1600: 4:24

Half Marathon: 1:16.31

Short-Term Running Goals:

TRACK GOALS FOR 2014:

Sub 4:20 in the 1600

4:15 in the 1600

Sub 9:50 in the 3200

9:30 in the 3200

PR in the 800

1:54 in 800

Long-Term Running Goals:

After high school and my mission I think that it would be really cool to get into the St. George Marathon. That is one thing I would like to accomplish in my lifetime. Hopefully I will be able to do multiple. In all I would just like to enjoy the time I run and have some fun experiences with it.

AM: 6 miles. LT tempo. Goal Pace: 5:02-07. Mr. PVHS 5K. For: Carter Nelson! Such a cutie. Warmed up just over 1.5 and then waited for the race to begin, waited awhile actually. The race started and just got right into it, had a struggle to get going initially but after the first loop I was feeling great and relaxed. I finished with a 15:58 which is a 30 second PR. Pretty sweet! I was super stoked when I saw my time. This makes up for my time trial! Pace: 5:08 so I was right in there with pace too. Great run/race! Cooled to mileage.

Wrap-up of Week- the only frustration of the week for my goals was that silly 1600 but after today's stuff I think I can just leave that in the past! Running is so awesome! Love it.
