Personal:

I'm married to Nan Kennard and she kicks my butt at running.  She has beat me handily in every race we have done together except for a downhill mile we did once.  She is my running inspiration.  I'd like to run a marathon with her someday and actually keep up.

Super easy recovery run around CU campus, past Boulder High, and back home on the broadway trail.  Evening run in the dark around Boulder only crossing 1 intersection going right through the heart of boulder both directions...Boulder is kind of into trails apparently.  I like it here.

7.25 - 59:40 - 8:14 pace - HR: 132 avg  - Nice and really easy cruise around town...feeling pretty good.

I would say there is a really good chance I will bag out of the farmington 5K... looks too cold and nasty for me. well, if I don't make it can you pick up my 20 dollar shirt? I can get it in Boulder in May, or you can give it to my brother if you see him. Safe travels!

Awwww...c'mon....that's just your bum achilles speaking.

no its my adversion for extreme cold talking. I don't think I can run a 7 minute mile in 5 degree weather. brr... who would have predicted this? well, I'l think it over.

NICE! I like it....that will just make our new 5K PR's more respectable!

(OK, there's a slight chance I'm in denial of the truth right now, but that's probably because I know I'm going to race tomorrow morning whether its -30 degrees or positive 30 so my subconscious automatically has to find ways to convince me that its a really good idea.)

OK scott, now that I'm here in utah witnessing the ice all over the roads and frigid temps I'm giving yv0ou full permission to bail ;)

If the course is as icy as some of these other roads its definitely going to make PRing pretty tough.

And now apparently some muscle in my butt is protesting after my workout last night, which is annoying. I'm not predicting a very fast race tomorrow...I'll definitely try to get your shirt for you if you don't make it.

But of course you still have my encouragement to come down and suffer with us too if you are so inclined!

Aaron, I am definteily going to skip it, jsut as much because I don't want to drive down in this weather. Roads are still snow packed here, and Sardine is going to be tough in the morning.

Why don't we plan on going for the sub 38 at Bolder Boulder on Memorial day instead?

good luck tomorrow, I'll be thinking of you guys!
