Personal:

I'm married to Nan Kennard and she kicks my butt at running.  She has beat me handily in every race we have done together except for a downhill mile we did once.  She is my running inspiration.  I'd like to run a marathon with her someday and actually keep up.

Spent all morning puking - not the most comfortable morning I have ever experienced.

Fortunately I felt great by Noon and was back to normal.

I flew to Seattle tonight, and it was really funny to show up on Danny's door step and see the bewilderment on his face at that fact that I was standing there.  It took him 5 or 10 minutes to come to grips with the fact that I was actually at his house because Jenni (his wife) and I secretly planned me to show up and run with him for his 30 mile 30th birthday run.

I'm excited to be here and to go running tomorrow at sea level in a 57 degree forecast.   I haven't run for a week, I was saving up all week to run tomorrow, but I didn't want to post about that so as not to give it away to Danny.  I don't know yet how my ankle is going to hold up tomorrow, but it hasn't been giving me any problems and I gave it a week of rest, so I will just find out how long I can run tomorrow.  Who knows....maybe I'll do my first ultra marathon tomorrow!?  Stay tuned....

It was great...amazing day in Seattle today...I'm posting but I'm adding photos so it will be in a little while. But I'll give you the preview that I didn't quite pull off my first marathon or ultra, did 21 and decided to stop because I felt like that was enough and I didn't want to hold Danny up through the last section. SUPER FUN THOUGH, and my longest run ever so far! Check back soon for photos etc.
