I know a secret technique for opening mangos taught me by a Wolof sorcerer. I was briefly a political appointee at the U.N. I am intimately familiar with a disciple of David Hume.

Lovely afternoon run on a cold Charles River. Temp high 20s, partly cloudy with brilliant sun-breaks, a thin film of ice on the puddles. River not yet frozen but it's heading in that direction. Air felt very fresh and clean.

Today is Gal's and my second anniversary. It feels like no time  at all; the morning was so very sweet. We are going out to TW Food tonight, where I will not be dieting yet.

The run itself was good, out to the Eliot Bridge and back. I am definitely liking the new shoes. Are NB still made in USA?

NB are certainly made in Hong Kong--they are my sponsor!

I almost made a tiramisu for an Italian friend's birthday, but since it had alcohol that doesn't burn out and I am a Mormon teetotaler, I didn't want to go to the effort. I am some friend, eh?

My dieting will start with the new year--it is traditional :D

If you like Indian, try the Dosa Factory in Central Square. Very unassuming but good food. Not exactly a place to go for an anniversary but still worth a try.

FYI, I lived in the South End from 2009-2011. Loved it too much (he says 25 lbs lighter).

Hey Michelle. That is really a shame about tiramisu but having had to swear off prosciutto for periods of my life I sympathize! I like dietary discipline, regardless of the inspiration - though it's easier in the abstract.

Matty - we live ten minutes from Dosa Factory and go there all the time. It is a great place to fuel up after running.
