Post-Marathon training

After finishing SGM this year, I'm looking to really improve my training and run a BQ next summer in Salt Lake. I am thinking that I should buy some marathoning or running books. I'll be doing some 10ks and maybe half-marathons too, so I thought about getting Daniel's Running Formula for training for less than a marathon, and then getting another book that focuses more on marathon training. Good idea or bad idea?

Congrats on running your marathon! As for training books, I like Gordon Bloch's
How to Train For and Run Your Best Marathon
. The emphasis in his program is on time.. minutes rather than miles. ANother book I also used before was Marathon Training for Dummies, though I like Bloch's programs much more. Hope this helps.

I just read
Run Faster From the 5K to the Marathon
by Brad Hudson. I haven't implemented it through a whole training cycle yet, but I think it's a good one.

Thanks guys, I bought the Advanced Marathoning book and got Daniel's Running Formula from our library. They have Once A Runner, but it's on interlibrary loan, and I don't know when it'll be back.
I'm still looking for "Sasha's Running Guide" though.
