This was a PR run at a race was canceled 20 minutes after I crossed the finish line. that tells you how fun the course was on this windy wet fest. more detailes after the hot tub and I would like to feel dry for a while after that.

wet and soggy at finish line

PR in the rain! Well done!

thanks Tom it was fun. we drove 6 hours to run close to 3:15:00 pace but at least we crossed Illinois of the 50 states map. I don't think my wife would handle another Illinois trip for while :)

Congrats on beating the cancellation! And on the PR - good thing you went as fast as you did!

Sweet! Great job on the PR even in bad weather. And nice going finishing before they shut it down. Get dry and warm and then give us the details.

Awesome job on the PR Yasir! And you did it in terrible conditions. Looks like those back to back to back 10 mile runs paid off! ;) congrats!

This is great news! Looking forward to your full report.

congrats, yasir. conditions must have been really rough if it was enough to cancel the race...and you just go and run a PR, no big deal. :) nice job.

Congrats on the PR Yasir. You've been pretty close the last couple times out, so that's gotta feel good, especially in bad weather.

From I Just Run on Fri, May 15, 2015 at 08:08:29 from 108.178.73.170

Wow...It must have really been bad weather to cancel the race! I ran the OKC marathon a few years ago and it poured down a lot of the race and there was some lighting and thunder. Way to go on a great PR! Your time just keeps moving down. :-)
