Pride necessarily sprouts and grows; a pride that can only come from relentless kneading of unwilling flesh, painful months of grinding and burning away all that is heavy, all that is strength-sapping and useless to the body as a projectile. --John L. Parker, Jr., runner/author

After a great evening enjoying a second Thanksgiving dinner with family, and a wonderful night's sleep, I was glad to be back on the road this morning.

I treated myself to 8 Miles at 6:49/mile on a chilly, 31 degree morning; breakfast and coffee about an hour before run; felt really good and comfortable throughout on a planned "easy" day per my training schedule; cool weather certainly aided me considerably in running a solid pace.

BCS bowl for the Hogs?

From Wesley Hunt on Sun, Nov 28, 2010 at 19:20:48 from 99.25.245.254

It's looking pretty good, and you can count on the entire State of Arkansas being the biggest Auburn Tiger fans outside of Alabama next week! If they win, we should be in!

Great atmosphere at War Memorial Stadium last night. The Hogs have a unique home schedule in that we play two of our home games in Little Rock every season. It was the first opportunity Isabel and I had to see a game this season, and we certainly picked a good one.

We left the Stadium to the pounding of "Pour Some Sugar On Me", and a lot of folks around here are already planning their trips to New Orleans.
