10K in 46:00 or under
Long-Term Running Goals:
Keep encouraging my family in their development of a healthy lifestyle

Personal:
I run with God. I use my running time to contemplate, to pray and to listen for His call. I'm married to a non-runner, but a supportive one, and we have four children.
Got to my mom and dad's yesterday. Went for a run by their house this morning. Here most people shovel their sidewalks. It's nice.
I saw a lot of people out running (well, I guess that's relative, because it was really about 5 people).

I never shovel my sidewalk.

Shame on you, Burt. Oh, maybe you don't have snow.
I don't shovel my sidewalk either, but I do pay my son to do it. We get a nasty letter from the HOA if we don't do it.
I hope you have fun at your parents' house. It's cool that you saw other runners. I saw a couple of runner but mostly walkers this morning.

I hate HOA's.

I wish I could have joined you!

We have shoveled our sidewalk and driveway every day this month. Nice mileage.

Around here in my little town where I usually run I would consider 5 people out running to be a lot too! In fact, I'm dying of curiousity if I even see one!

I laughed at your farcical bad boy comment, Burt. Have you ever gotten snow?
I'm glad we don't have a HOA, Carolyn, but we shovel anyway (even though no one ever walks to the north of our house). And Stacy, I feel bad for you and your ridiculous snow shoveling. I don't think I'd bother with the sidewalk if I had to do it everyday!
April #27--Hope the memorial went well. I was thinking of you while I was running!
April (other)--I seldom see another winter runner. And my reaction is more like, "Hey! I'm the only winter runner out here. You're making me seem less hard core! Don't ever let me see you again."

Thanks for asking--it went well. Glad it is all over!

It snowed a couple of weeks ago for about two minutes.
I thought about this conversation on my run today as I passed a sign that said Val Vista HOA. I thought about the crazy kid that shot everyone in Tucson and about a crazy old man that starting shooting people at an HOA meeting. I hate HOA's, but not that much.
