Did 15 min. easy, 1 fast miles worth of 400s (1:27, 1:25, 1:26, 1:26) and then another 15 minutes easy.  I was pretty proud of myself during those 400s.  I wish I knew what a reasonable goal for 1 fast mile would be for me.  I've always wanted to break 6:00 for one mile, but I don't think I could do that right now.  I find that if I have a time goal that is realistic, I can usually hit it.  Maybe I'll try next week when life calms down a little.

If you could keep up the pace that you did on those 400s, for a full mile, you would be under 6:00. I've been wondering for a while how fast I could run a mile. I may give it a try one of these days.

Let me know if you are going to do it. I know I couldn't keep up that pace, but when I looked up my vdot, the computer projected my mile race at 6:18.

I think I'm going to give it a try--that's manageable. I just need to break it down into 1:34 400s. I can do that. I can do that. I can do that.

Let me know if you think you'll do it in the next week or two--we could "race." I bet our speed is comparable.

I've got a half-marathon a week from Saturday, so I probably won't do it before then, but maybe the week after that.

Should we just do 4 laps on the track and call it a mile, even though it technically isn't quite?
