An  easy 5.  I think my shoulder problems may be due to a pinched nerve.  I'll find out tomorrow.  I've never been to a physical therapist except for my sister.  I think I may take this pt's diagnosis back to her.  Problem is that I won't see her for about a month, so she'll have to go by what they say.

A pinched nerve sounds painful. I hope the PT is able to do something about it. My shoulder problem was just bursitis.

Any news about the shoulder?

I didn't run Tuesday to go to my appointment instead, and it helped a little.

My problem is all muscular. The PT did some muscle and tissue manipulation (which hurt like hell) and then pronounced it a problem of strong anterior muscle (pecs) versus weaker posterior muscles (levator scapulae and trapezius). So I need to do some strengthening, posture improving, stretching, massage therapy (yay!) and I need to try not to run with my mouth open. Oh, and I need to take it easy picking up my giant son until it is starting to feel better.

No pinched nerve, which is great. It's just all structural.

But it makes me wonder--why all of a sudden? I'm thinking it's a combination of things, but most of it is school: the bags and other stresses.

It's probably been coming on for a while and just got to a point that your body complained. The bags and the giant son probably didn't help.

I'm glad it's not a pinched nerve. It sounds like something that you can take care of and you will get stronger in the process.
