I varied my pace.  I did 5 minutes at 9:13, 5 at 8:34, 5 at 8, then 2 min at 7:30 and 1 at 7.  The second time I did less at the fastest paces.

I was wiped after this run, but I still did my class.  I have felt so tired this last week.  I thought it was because of my period, but it's almost over and I still feel drained.

The class was almost all abs today, but it felt good.  I was feeling really hot and light-headed after I was done, though.

Was that on a treadmill? That sounds like a treadmill workout. In any case, that's some fast running. No wonder you were whiped.

BTW, I had my first core abs class yesterday. It's only once/week for a half hour.

It certainly was! I find it hard to just stay at the same pace on the treadmill. I get so bored.

I read about your ab class. Isn't it awesome to not feel tired while all the other people in the class are huffing and puffing? I enjoy that feeling, but I wasn't feeling that way Tuesday. I hadn't eaten dinner yet.

My class is at a funny time. 6:30. So I have to eat at 5, get to the gym a little earlier than 6 to run a bit, then go to my class so I can be home for the kids.

My abs class is at 12:15. I normally eat lunch at noon, so with the class I guess I'll eat after the class. And yesterday my friend and I went into the fitness center after the class and she ran on the treadmill (she is just starting out and wants to become a runner) and I did a little bit with some weights and did 20 minutes on the elliptical. So it was pretty late by the time I had lunch. I don't know whether that will be the pattern going forward, but it may be.

Before it wasn't an issue so much for me if I just had a snack when I got home from work at 4:30. Don't you wonder why classes are scheduled sometimes at such weird times.

I'm nervous because tonight is the first time that I am going to bring my kids to the daycare at the gym. I worry because, like every little kid, mine don't like strangers OR a difference in the routine. Wish me luck.

Good luck. Remind me again how old your kids are.

4 and almost 2. The 4 year old is in the crying phase (very sensitive) and the 2 year old couldn't care less, but will cry if his brother cries.
