I had a really good 21 mile run this morning. The course I chose to do was very very challenging with a lot of hills. About 12 miles of it was on trails with 6 uphill and 6 downhill. I also had a couple areas before I got to the trails that were pretty tough uphills and downhills. I chose this because I not only wanted to go long today, I wanted to challange myself. I will say the last few miles were not easy. I had my little girl come and run a little bit with me and bring me some food and something to drink with some carbs. Once I got some of that in me I felt a lot better. Overall I was really happy with the run today. It boosted my confidence that I will be fine with the upcoming trail marathon I have in a few weeks. My total running time was 3:37 so it was good to be on my feet for a long period of time. Now I will take the day to recover!
