| I did a semi recovery run this morning. I wanted to take it a little easier after my monster run on Friday. My legs were sore on Saturday and Sunday from the run. My legs felt good this morning but I tried to keep the pace above my marathon pace. My right quad did feel tired, but other than that I was feeling pretty good. I had much more energy this Monday than I did last Monday.

| My usual morning run. Kept it slow to let my legs rest a bit.

| I had a great run this morning. I can honestly say this was my best weekday run of the year. My legs felt like gold! I took a gu right before my run and I really think that helped to energize me. I usually don't eat anything and I think my energy level suffers a bit. Anyhow, I did half mile repeat intervals for after a 1 mile warmup and I followed it with a 1 mile cooldown. My intervals were around 7:05-7:10 and I was not tired until mile 8. It was just a great run and for the first time in a couple weeks my legs feel pretty good and I am excited to run tomorrow.

| Recovery run from yesterdays run. My legs still felt really good and I think I ran the first 4 miles a little too fast, but I slowed things down for the last 4. It was really nice this morning. Around 60 degrees and overcast. I really like running when the weather is like that. Overall a good morning.

| It was a rainy morning in Havasu. We don't get a lot of those so you try to enjoy it while you can. Rhett and I started off on a 20 mile run in the rain and about 1/2 mile into the run, SPASH! I schoolbust shot a wave of water and soaked us from head to toe. It made us cold for 10 minutes or so, but our run warmed us up again. We did the first 15 at a very comfortable pace and the last 5 we shot for our marathon pace. I was able to run the first 3 miles at or a little below my marathon pace, but the last 2 were rough because of the incline and I fell below my marathon pace. I felt good about the run and it was encouraging that on a flat course I could have run the last 5 much faster. By the end of the run I was soaked and my legs were pretty dirty.

| I did an easy recovery run this morning. It was windy, but my run was short enough it didn't bother me. My legs were a little tired at the start, but once they warmed up everything was just fine. 2 more week of serious training until my 2 week taper before the marathon.
