Fires exploded during the day yesterday and by last night the hills surrounding mouth of Payson Canyon were fully ablaze visible throughout Utah County. Headed up the hill and south this morning to take a look and happy to no longer see any visible flames, but the smoke in the valleys was horrible again just like early August so I cut the run short and walked back home. Hopefully those evacuated from Elkridge, Payson, Salem and Woodland Hills can return home today and find everything intact.
