Today was a humility run for me as I went to Payson and met up with the speed demon dudes to do a canyon up/down run. Carl H, Darin C, Pat L, Mike S, and Andrew G were there. I knew I would be sucking wind running with these guys but also knew they were going 10 and I was only doing 6-7 so I could turn around early and take it easy the last 1/2 of the run.

Felt sluggish today and had a hard time finding any kind of rhythm. I don't do well in warmer, muggy conditions and I think today was the muggiest day we've had all summer. Thankfully Andrew backed off the pace a bit so I was able to stay with him until I turned around just past Beercan.  This run felt alot harder than my ave pace would indicate. Hope it will get easier with cooler, drier weather and as my conditioning very slowly creeps back.

Going camping later today and tomorrow so let the rainstorms begin!

Way to get the run in Tom, eventhough it was more rough than you were hoping it to be.

Hot + Muggy = Tough Run + Slower Pace

Nice work pushing through.

Steer clear of lightening!

Thanks again for the great recommendation on "therapy" and the insoles----I love them!

Tom, I have heard that beercans can make your sluggish, it seems like you had a good hard effort on the uphill given you overall pace, nice transition into harder running.

Stay Kool, Drink Gatorade, B of BS Rools out (ha ha)
