Ran 5 this morning at 6am with Kim then walked 1 mile. Windy again with a few drops of rain and a few rays of sunshine. Kim was surpisingly energetic and ran the 6th mile in 7:55, unexpected, considering she ran 8 yesterday and then didn't get to bed until 3:30am after her girls-night-out-vampire-movie-party-o-rama.

Later before noon did 40 min XT at the gym (S/B/E).

I would rather call it a werewolf movie! : )

Tom, running pain free and happy runner? I think Sylvie caught the potential stress fracture early enough, hopefully, just a couple weeks off and she will be back at it. Don't see any coaching comments on Kim's workouts? Did you get fired as coach? We are going down to St.George the weekend of the 24th, let me know if your headed down, would love to see your condo.

Looks like your running is building back up nicely! Also, looks like you are being smart and patient.

Kim - so does that mean I'm more of a werewolf than a vampire?

Brent - I haven't been fired yet as coach but we decided to take a low key approach for Kim for the SGM training: just run mostly easy and focus on building the mileage base without getting hurt, work in lots of up/downhill miles pretty soon to prepare the legs for SGM. Hoping to avoid repeat of last 2 yrs where ITBS problems give Kim grief. Also works nice for my rehabilitation. For sure in the past Coach Tom has pushed too hard but lately Kim would probably say I'm pushing too easy.

Looks like we've rented out the condo for 24th weekend, trying to figure out when to get there, we've been real surprised how much interest from people wanted to rent the condo during hot July. We'll be sure to let you know when we head down, I'm sure one of these times we'll hit it so we're both there at the same time so we can play and check out each others "Palms" getaways.

Jim - Thanks for checking on me. So far so good and hopefully if things go well I'll be set up for a good race year in 2011.
