Early AM:  Ran regular 6 mile loop. Weather forecast said into the 20's with canyon winds so I dusted off the longs for the first time since early in the year. Turns out I was overdressed as although it was breezy I think temps must have been a few degrees above freezing.

Late AM: Did 10 min XT then 1 mile on the roads and 2 BFOG. Not so chilly on the grass today as compared to Monday but I swear the Novell grounds people are still watering the lawns and some sections I avoided are like a swamp.

Oh my gosh! Are there actual people under that mud?

From Tom on Thu, Oct 28, 2010 at 14:38:48 from 137.65.56.16

Ya never know Burt, Novell was built on top of a landfill so who knows what might ooze up.

OK Burt I'm kinda slow, now I'm thinking you're referring to my profile pic and not my comment about the swamp in my blog today. I'll like to think of us as being covered in dark chocolate, not mud.

LOL! Got it. Milk chocolate covered picture. Mud and ooze covered work.

I've lately considered building up some BFOG miles, but i think my window of opportunity is nearly closed for this year. (The BFOTM miles that i tried a while back weren't fun or comfortable at all)

Yeah Cal winter doesn't work so well for the BF stuff. I was making good progress last year at this time overcoming the PF with the BFOG but then it got cold and I was trying to switch to socks on the TM but all that did was get the PF all flared up again. I think this year I'll just go with the grass as long as I can and maybe even try it with socks when it gets too cold for BF as long as there isn't snow on the ground.

BFOG in the winter? That is craziness! How about BFOTM???
