Another nice little 6-mile progression type run with Kimiloo. Our friend the wind was back in force today. Saturday we're running (but not racing) the new Hobbler 1/2 marathon up Hobble Creek canyon (starts up Left Fork rather than Right Fork like the other Hobble Creek 1/2). So likely no run tomorrow as I want to still keep the mileage under 40 for this week.

From Crippled to having a hard time keeping the mileage under 40. That's a good problem.

Happy to see you running so well Tom. Is your pain/injury 100% gone now?

From Tom on Thu, Jul 08, 2010 at 11:45:47 from 67.199.180.90

Thanks guys.

Cal - with the left foot where I tore/ruptured the plantar fascia I have pretty much 0 pain, but sometimes it feels a little tired/weak on longer runs or if I'm on my feet all day.

With my right foot, which traditionally has been my problem PF foot, I do have a spot on the inside front of the heel where I'll feel some minor pain when I take those first steps after waking up or sitting for a long time. So far though no pain while running. I suspect I may have a small bone spur on that foot or just a big knot of scar tissue from long-time PF issues.

After seeing how well the left foot appears to have recovered I almost wish the right foot would rupture and loosen things up.

Glad to see so much progress.

I'm suppose to run the Hobbler Half as well but I don't think its a good idea at this point, I'm just trying to get healthy:(... Keep up the good work Tom your doing really good!;)

Clay I think you're making the right choice to not run Hobbler and I hope you can soon get a handle on this latest setback.

I was a little nervous running it as well and succumbing to the temptation to go into race mode. But Kim and I have sworn a pact to run it similar to our other recent long runs and just enjoy a leisurly run down a canyon on a sunny Saturday morning.

Tom, had to google this race, thought it was a hoax, good luck, let us know what you think of the race and course, may be a doer next year.
