Tummy hurts? What's up with that? (Flu-like hurt or hernia like hurt?)

Those first couple of weeks after a tough marathon are really up and downers. How is the recovery overall coming do you think??

oh my legs feel pretty normal. I is mostly mental at this point. I really don't feel like putting in any long-ish runs. I'm trying at least to get in a run every day. I will try to get to a race this Saturday morning. It is a cross country 5K - and is free with my track club membership.

Ah nice. Well I have been doing the same thing since SG for the most part. Now regretting that I didn't do more long runs well longer then 8 miles. Cross country 5ks are fun. Bit slower then your road race ones. Have you ran this one before??

No I've never done a XC race before. It looks like the winners last year were 1:30-2 min slower than their normal times. So if I get my butt up there Sat morning (45 min drive), I'd be trying do at least go under 20. It is supposed to be a windy, wintery mix...

The few 5k cross country races I ran. The guys that run them normally said to expect 15 secs per mile slower times then on the road. Just something to plan for so you dont go out to fast.

sounds about right - thanks!

Are you having PMS? Post marathon syndrome...signing for a shorter race helps! BEST WISHES!

Smooth - exactly right...
