Today was a pretty good day. The morning run felt good 27:00, pulled away from coach and Shalaya in the last half mile, by quite a bit. But it was pretty easy, I felt good. I also did some lifting, push-ups and sit-ups. After school I was somewhat sore, but it felt good. I did 6 miles at about a 6:15 pace. The splits were 6:32 6:43 5:51 6:06 6:34 5:40. It felt good, I wasn't even too tired until the fourth mile which was uphill, and the last 1.5 wasn't too hard. The last mile, even though I was pushing hard, was pretty easy for a 5:40. This is what I need, more runs like this that really help me keeping up the pace. |
