Running Accomplishments:

I started running in 2008 while I was a stay-at-home-mom.  I discovered this blog in July 2010 and followed the advice from the blog to gradually improve my distance/speed.  I achieved various PR's in 2010/2011.   I went back to work part-time in 2012-2015 and switched to mostly running trail runs.   When I got prego with my third child in 2016, I stopped running and started work full-time.   After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to running in 2022.  I have alot of work to do to get back in shape, but looking forward to the challenge!

5.2 miles at 6:00pm around my neighborhood.  Weather= 59F, 46% humidity, 38 dew point, 9 mph wind, cloudy.

I took Jake out in the running stroller for 2.5 miles.  Average pace=9:30/m.    It looked like it was about to rain so I brought him home.  Then I went back out for more.  I figured if it started raining, I'd just come straight home.  The rain clouds just seemed to circle our little neighborhood but not rain on us.   I ran another loop which ended up being 2.7 miles.  Average pace=8:50/m.  Last .2 mile was 7:18 pace.

I hate these Nike Pegasus...  it might not entirely be the shoes fault as much as the runner store person who told me I needed to get a bigger size than usual because these shoes run small.  She was wrong. They look like clown shoes on me and they have no arch support, possibly because they are too big.

Glad to see you are back at it! It is so hard to stay consistent when life gets busy.

I want to keep running on Saturdays with the group, but right now we are in the thick of baseball and volleyball so I have to start early and be done early. Hopefully, I will be back in May-ish, if not June.

Interesting on the shoes.... I ran in Mizuno Wave Riders forever and loved them and then had someone tell my they were the cause of all my IT issues. I ran in Air Pegasus and then tried Wave Precision and never had the same luck. I am finally back in Wave Riders and happy. Trust yourself!

I had some Mizuno Wave Riders and didn't like them very much. They were so soft it felt like my feet rolled from side to side. I run in Sausony Ride 4's now and really like them.
