Running Accomplishments:

I started running in 2008 while I was a stay-at-home-mom.  I discovered this blog in July 2010 and followed the advice from the blog to gradually improve my distance/speed.  I achieved various PR's in 2010/2011.   I went back to work part-time in 2012-2015 and switched to mostly running trail runs.   When I got prego with my third child in 2016, I stopped running and started work full-time.   After a 7 year hiatus, I returned to running in 2022.  I have alot of work to do to get back in shape, but looking forward to the challenge!

Ran 1 mile to corner to meet Ash and Tim. We went did some hilly loops in our neighborhood. The fist loop was 4.3 miles. We charged the hills so the miles with the biggest hills were actually the fastest miles. Second loop was 3.2 miles. Ashley left after the second one because she's still easing back into running after taking time off for injury. Tim and I did third loop which was 3.7 miles. We charged the final hill and ended at the corner at 11.3 miles total for the run. I reset the lap button at this point because I wanted to record what we did the final hill at: 7:39 pace. Not bad for at least 2% grade hill. Ran final 1 mile cool down home.

Tomorrow I'm sleeping in but later in the day we're doing track. Supposed to do a 1 mile time trial. It'll be like 85 degrees though.

Running in the dark is a bit scary! I have had run-ins with skunks and not so friendly dogs at that time of the morning. You are amazing getting out early like that. I get out a couple of times a week that early and it's tough! Nice job. Is that picture your son Jake? I have got to see a picture of that good looking son Ryan..... with a name like that his got to be a looker!

I would be less motivated to run in the dark if I wasn't running with friends. It's such an advantage! So, lucky... meant to be... If God didn't want me to run, he wouldn't have put Ashley and Tim living so close to me!

Yes, that is Jake in the picture. I know I need more pictures. It is my biggest complaint that all our pictures are taken by me. When my children are older, they will think their father was a single parent because I'm the one with the camera 95% of the time. Also, it's rare that anyone comes to my races, so I don't get many pictures of myself running.

I would call that perfect running weather! Good run! 4:45...Makes me tired thinking about it!
